应天齐

  应天齐(Ying Tianqi)1949年生于中国安徽芜湖。毕业于中央美术学院,现任深圳大学教授,西安美术学院客座教授,中国版画家协会理事,中国美术学会会员,享受国务院津贴专家。
  2000年以后,应天齐转向了当代艺术的探索,创作了《世纪遗痕系列》、《材料油画》、《砖魂》、《黑室》等当代艺术作品,并且连续3次入选维尼斯双年展并成为首次以个展的方式进入该展的华人艺术家第一人。应天齐早年曾从事木版画创作,屡次获得中国文化部、中国美协大奖、日本-中国版画奖励会金奖、北京、台北当代版画展杰出奖等,《西递村系列》全套作品为英国木版基金会、大英博物馆所收藏。奠定了应天齐在中国版画界的重要地位。
  应天齐《世纪遗痕》系列作品以材料、实物为主要媒材,将一种‘实存’观念延伸于绘画。一如既往地将艺术家对历史、文化、人生的诘问,以一种悲凉的情绪层层推进。把极简抽象的形式和具象的内容通过实物拼贴、着色等综合技法融合在一起,用现代绘画的主观抽象因素表现客观的世界,提出一种对传统中国文化的关怀,再一次的呈现东方美学的审美体验、精神和品格。这不仅融合传统精神与现代艺术技法,更在写实与抽象之间找到了一个极妙的契合点,从而用现代手法表现了传统文化内涵,借此唤醒世人关注即将消逝的传统文化。作品的精随是“新东方精神”的呈现,也是应天齐的艺术魅力所在。
  整体观之,从应天齐的作品里可见其长年版画创作的丰富经验,对于不同材质与纹理的思考和应用,技巧成熟而且独特。看似单纯的艺术呈现,背后实隐含着深刻的文化语汇。运用中国自身丰富的文化资源创作出具有当代属性的艺术创作,做为一个执着于艺术创作之道而不媚俗的艺术家,应天齐值得作为当代艺术与文化评论重点关注的典范。
